How do I print from my iOS device (iPhone, iPad, iPod)?

Apple’s Air Print is the ideal solution for this.
AirPrint capability is built in to iOS v4.2 or later, and is very simply called via the action button in many applications. (example: open an email and click the reply/forward button, and note the new Print button option there.)

Air Print’s major shortcoming however, is it is a new technology and is only supported on a handful of printers.
The list is growing slowly, and Apple maintains a list of compatible printers at:

Another option if you have the a shared PC or server you can install some print server software on is to purchase the iOS App PrintCentral Pro from the Apple App Store.

The major drawback to this way of doing things is that anything you want to print must be opened from within the app itself first and then printed from there. This can be a very convoluted process, and is very difficult to handle at times, but it is the best option we have found to enable printing from the iPhone to a non-AirPrint enabled printer.

Obviously the best recommended method is to purchase an AirPrint compatible printer…
