I would like my Windows install running inside VMware on my Mac to stop going to sleep on me!

ANSWER

It is a bit odd, but this is still a setting adjusted by manually adding a line of txt to a the VMX file.

Shutdown the VM

Add this line to the .vmx file:

suspend.disabled = “TRUE”

Save and close the .vmx file.

To find your VMX file, right click the Virtual Machine file, and select “Show package contents”
